Structure fire in Onkaparinga Heights - 26 March 2025

The CFS were called to a structure fire at a residential property in Onkaparinga Heights, approximately 30km south-west of Adelaide just before 7 this morning. 

A joint response from the CFS and MFS saw approximately twenty-five firefighters on five trucks, along with support vehicles attend a fire that started in the laundry of the home. Thankfully, a working fire alarm alerted the occupants and allowed safe exit from the property.

Firefighters used offensive firefighting tactics in breathing apparatus to contain the fire to the laundry, the adjoining bedroom and outdoor area, preventing any further spread of fire within the property. The impact of the fire, along with smoke damage to the house has caused an estimated damage of $150,000.

SA Police, SA Ambulance and SA Power Networks have assisted firefighters on scene, with Fire Investigators to attend to determine the cause.
