Structure fire in Tailem Bend - 20 August 2025
CFS and MFS firefighters on approximately 8 trucks are attending a house and shed fire in Tailem Bend, located in the Murraylands.
The fire, which is believed to have started in the house and extended to the shed located at the back of the property, was fully involved when firefighters arrived and completely destroyed both structures. The estimated damage amount is $500,000.
Firefighters were were able to save two sheds and their contents located at the front of the property and the neighbouring house. The affected property is near a railway line however, crews have worked with local teams and there haven’t been any impacts to services.
No one was home when the fire started. No injuries have been recorded at this time.
SA Police, SA Ambulance, SA Power Networks were on scene supporting firefighters. Fire Investigators are attending.
