The Firey Women program is a practical and engaging four-week workshop series designed to help women understand bushfire risk and build the knowledge and confidence to prepare their homes, families, and communities.
To gain the full benefit of the program and develop a comprehensive understanding of bushfire preparedness, participants are expected to attend all four consecutive sessions.
Created specifically for women, the program provides a safe, supportive, and non-threatening environment to learn practical skills that can help protect families, homes, and livelihoods.
Across the four sessions, you will explore:
- preparing emotionally for bushfire events
- understanding bushfire danger ratings and warnings
- deciding when to “leave early” or “stay and defend”
