$350,000 house fire at Eden Hills
At approximately 8:15pm this evening, CFS volunteers on five trucks and one bulk water carrier, responded to a house fire at Eden Hills.
On arrival CFS crews found the home involved in fire. Crews worked hard to contain the blaze to the home and stopped it from spreading to neighbouring properties. The house was destroyed.
The occupant of the home safely evacuated and has been treated by SA Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.
Crews are supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance Service.
CFS crews are still on scene extinguishing hot spots and making the scene safe. They are expected to remain on scene for some time.
Fire Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be an electric blanket.
Total losses are estimated to be approximately $350,000.
