$43,000 truck fire in Sherlock - 15 May 2024
3 CFS crews with approximately 15 firefighters attended an estimated $43,000 truck fire on private property on Bore Road, Sherlock. Firefighters contained the blaze to the truck, which was carrying hay at the time, stopping it from extending into surrounding shrub and neighbouring properties.
The fire cause is believed to be the truck overhead exhaust. The fire has damaged the passenger side of the truck including the door and under the trailer.
Crews remained on scene for approximately three hours to spread out the impacted hay bales and extinguish any hot spots to limit potential for reignition. SA Police were also in attendance supporting firefighters.
