Angaston structure fire - 20 April 2024

CFS crews were called to a structure fire at a property in Angaston on the eastern side of the Barossa Valley, 77km northeast of Adelaide at 1:30am this morning.

Approximately twenty-five CFS firefighters attended on four fire trucks and one bulk water carrier. Crews were supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance.

Firefighters arrived to find a car and the shed of the property alight with fire. Both were destroyed in the blaze; however, the effective work of firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the house.

All property occupants were accounted for and no injuries were reported.

The cause is currently undetermined and Fire Investigators are onsite. Losses have been estimated at $70,000.
