Farm machinery fire at Pinkawillinie - 19 February 2024

CFS crews attended a farm machinery fire on the roadside at Pinkawillinie, just west of Kimba, at the top of the Eyre Peninsula at approximately 1:45 pm this afternoon.

A crew of four CFS firefighters on one truck were supported by four Farm Firefighting Units (FFUs) to contain the fire.

Firefighters efficiently extinguished the fire, preventing the further spread of fire into paddocks or scrub.

Losses are estimated at approximately $150,000.
