House fire at Riverglades - 9 January 2024

At 1:30am the CFS was alerted to a house fire on Tooma Drive at Riverglades - in the north of Murray Bridge near the banks of the River Murray.
 
In a joint response, both the CFS and MFS sent two trucks each to the home, where two occupants had safely escaped the blaze.
 
Crews quickly contained the fire to the carport, which had been converted into a games room, and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the property.
 
The damage bill to the structure and contents is estimated at $50,000 and investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
