House fire in Cudlee Creek - 6 July 2024

CFS crews were called to a structure fire at a residential property in Cudlee Creek, approximately 33km to the north-east of Adelaide around 4pm this afternoon.

Six CFS crews, with approximately twenty-four firefighters attended a shed used as both a double garage and rumpus room that was adjoined to a primary property.

Upon arrival, the shed was fully involved in fire, with firefighters working defensively to control the blaze. Efficient initial work of people on the scene and of subsequent work of CFS crews prevented any further spread of fire from the shed to the adjoining property or surrounds. CFS crews will likely remain on site for some time to mop up the area.

SA Police and SA Ambulance have assisted crews on scene, with two people treated for minor smoke inhalation on site.

No cause has yet been identified and Fire Investigators are currently on scene. Losses have been estimated at approximately $200,000.
