House fire in Kongorong - 30 June 2024
CFS crews arrived just after 6:00 am to a fully involved house fire at Kongorong, located south-west of Mount Gambier. Twenty-three CFS firefighters on 6 trucks attended the fire, supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance Service. Fortunately, no occupants were home at the time and firefighters were able to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties.
Losses are estimated at $300,000 and the house has been destroyed.
