House fire in Snowtown - 30 September 2024
CFS firefighters arrived just before 7:00 am to a house fire at Snowtown in the state's Mid North.
Twenty firefighters attended the house fire on 4 trucks and 1 bulk-water carrier, supported by SA Police.
The fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damages. Still, thanks to the prompt response of CFS firefighters, the spread was contained to the property, preventing a higher cost and protecting neighbouring homes.
Crews will remain on scene extinguishing any smouldering areas for some time.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and Fire Investigators have been called to the scene.
