Kingston on Murray house fire - 19 July 2024
Two CFS trucks carrying approximately 10 firefighters responded to multiple triple-0 calls to attend a house fire at just before 1:00 am at Kingston on Murray in the state’s Riverland.
Upon arrival the single storey dwelling was fully involved in flames as the fire had spread through the roof space.
The occupants managed to evacuate and were not injured.
Crews contained the fire to the house and stopped it from impacting vehicles and other structures on the property, as well as neighbouring homes.
The house unfortunately was destroyed, and the damage bill is estimated at $200,000.
Fire investigators are attending the property this morning to establish a cause.
