Shed fire at Baroota - 11 July 2024
Just after 2:30pm, CFS firefighters responded to a double car shed fire at Baroota, situated 29 km northeast of Port Pirie.
Fourteen CFS volunteers, on 4 trucks and 1 Farm Fire Unit, attended the fire, with support from SA Police.
Initially employing defensive tactics, the firefighters contained the blaze preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. Breathing Apparatus operators will continue to work to extinguish any remaining internal hot spots.
The fire resulted in an estimated $50,000 in damages, and the shed has been destroyed.
