Structure fire at Mount Compass - 27 February 2024

At approximately 2:40 pm today, CFS crews were called to a house fire on Clyde Terrace in Mount Compass.

The occupants were not home at the time. Fire investigators will attend the property later this evening to investigate the cause.

Approximately 15 firefighters on 4 fire trucks and with 2 bulk water carriers have attended the scene. Crews were quick to respond, using offensive firefighting techniques to quickly stop the fire from spreading. Crews will remain on scene a little longer to continue mopping up.

Thanks to the swift work of our firefighters, damage to the house was limited to approximately $150,000.
