Structure fire at Mount Pleasant - 8 November 2023
At 1.36 pm today CFS crews were called to a shed fire on Lucas Back Road, Mount Pleasant.
Approximately 55 firefighters and 12 fire trucks, supported by SA Police and the SA Ambulance, attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently undetermined, but not suspicious.
Crews were able to save an ultralight aircraft, being stored adjacent to the shed, and quickly prevented the fire from spreading too far into the surrounding vegetation.
Crews are now working to pull apart hay bales inside the shed, to fully extinguish the fire, and will remain on the scene well into the night.
The nearby occupants are safe and have been treated by paramedics on scene.
Losses are currently estimated at $100,000.
