Structure fire at Tailem Bend - 9 January 2024

At just before 3am, 4 CFS trucks and a Bulk Water Carrier were sent to Blackett Road, following reports of a large shed fire.
 
The 20 by 20 metre shed had been converted into a home and was inhabited by an occupant - who managed to flee the fire.
 
Crews worked quickly to extinguish it and prevent it from spreading to nearby grass and scrubland.
 
Fire cause investigators will attend the site later this morning and damages are likely to exceed $50,000.
