Structure fire at Tarpeena - 21 April 2024

CFS crews were called to a structure fire at a residential property in Tarpeena of the Limestone Coast Region in the state’s southeast.

Approximately twenty-one CFS firefighters on three trucks and one bulk water carrier attended the incident, supported by SA Police, SA Ambulance and SA Power Networks.

Firefighters arrived to find the property engulfed by fire. Although the property could not be saved, firefighters worked defensively to prevent any further spread of fire from the structure. Crews will remain on site for some time to render the area safe.

Property occupants were not present at the time and no injuries have been reported.

The cause is currently undetermined, and losses have been estimated at $130,000.
