Tailem Bend structure fire - 22 February 2024
CFS crews were called to a structure fire at a residential property in Tailem Bend, in the state’s Murraylands at around 5:45 pm this afternoon.
Six CFS crews, with approximately twenty-four firefighters, are currently on scene, being supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance. SA Power Networks have also been called to the incident to isolate power.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single-story property engulfed in flames. Firefighters are safely using defensive techniques to extinguish and prevent further spread of the fire. They will likely remain on scene for several hours to fully extinguish the fire and mop up the area.
Two occupants were evacuated from the property and are being treated by SA Ambulance.
No cause has yet been identified and Fire Investigators are to attend the scene. Losses have been estimated at approximately $150,000.
