Farm Fire Units

Since the beginning of CFS, and well before, the farm firefighting community has provided a quick response to the early stages of a fire, the active firefighting during blazes, and the continued monitoring after emergency services have handed properties back to their owners.

Regional Capability Community Fund (RCCF) 2022-23 (round one)

The focus of Round One of the Regional Capability Community Fund (RCCF) is Farm Fire Units. The RCCF will reimburse approved purchases or a portion of a purchase from $200 to $3,000 (GST exclusive). This will allow for the purchase of smaller items such as good quality first aid kits and UHF radios, but also a significant portion of a new pump, water tank etc.

Only one application per farmer or farming business will be considered.

How do I apply?

Applications for 2022-23 (round one) are now closed. Round 1 applicants will be notified of their application outcome by 14 September 2022.

Successful applicants will then have until 15 December 2022 to purchase the approved equipment and register their FFU with the CFS.
