$300,000 structure fire at Aldinga Beach - 31 May 2023
A second fire has broken out at a residential property on Ratcliffe Road in Aldinga Beach, previously attended by CFS crews on Monday 29 May.
The entire structure is now completely destroyed. Approximately 25 firefighters in 5 trucks were able to get the flames under control quickly, saving the shed at the back of the property. Breathing Apparatus (BA) trained firefighters are now using thermal imaging cameras to put out hot spots in the structure. The estimated loss is $300,000.
Residents were not home due to previous damage when the fire broke out.
SA Ambulance Service and SA Police have both been on scene to support. Road closures have been put in place on Ratcliffe Road, CFS advises motorists to drive to conditions.
The incident is being considered suspicious and fire cause investigators have been called to the scene.
