$50,000 Structure Fire at Yankalilla - 12 May 2023

At approximately 2.00pm this afternoon CFS crews were called to attend a structure fire on a private property in Yankalilla, on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Three CFS crews attended the property and discovered a shed well involved in fire on arrival. Thanks to their swift efforts, the fire was contained and did not spread to an adjacent shed and nearby home on the property.

SA Police are also at the scene supporting crews and fire cause investigators have been contacted to attend. 

Fortunately, the owner of the property who was home at the time was not injured. The shed however was a total loss with the structure and contents being estimated at $50,000.

Firefighters will remain on scene the until the area is made safe.
