Burning off guidance - November 28

Today the CFS has responded to several fires which have been caused by burn offs getting out of control. The CFS reminds people to pay particular care when burning off, especially in the current hot weather conditions which are set to continue and even increase tomorrow and Thursday.

Safe practices for burn offs include ensuring a sufficient water supply at all times during and after the burn off, and preparing a clean fuel break of at least 4 metres around the area to be burnt.
