Home Destroyed at Cadell

SA Country Fire Service Firefighters were responded to reports of a structure fire at Cadell, north east of Adelaide on the Murray River.

Reported just before 0630hrs this morning on arrival firefighters found the home on Old Cadell Road fully involved and quickly got to work to contain the fire within 30 minutes

Unfortunately despite the hard work by crews, some wearing breathing apparatus, the home constructed of weather board and pressed metal tiles has been fully destroyed.

One occupant was home at the time the fire started, and was able to exit the home uninjured.

Early dollar damage estimates have been set at $120 000 with Fire Cause Investigators attending later this morning.

Crews will remain on scene for some time to ensure the home is fully extinguished.
